SD card & License

Hello All! I don't want to start/continue the discussion on whether an "industrial" SD card is more reliable than a consumer card, but I would like to know if using a consumer SD card will prevent a License key from being activated?

Thus far I am into this project for free since I had an unused R-Pi and all the necessary cables and adapters to connect it to my Peet Brothers Ultimeter 2100. I don't care about local storage of data since my only purpose is uploading to weather services, and the meteobridge is running fine on the R-Pi in the trial period. I'm debating buying a license (since I am retired and this is not high priority).
