Finally
Meteobridge VM is there!
Now you can have Meteobridge running without dedicated HW. Simply install the Meteobridge VM image on your virtualization platform of choice. Meteobridge VM is x86_64 based and is tested on VirtualBox, VMware Player, KVM and PROXMOX. You find details and installation instructions
here.

So version 6 only works with VM and not my current hardware?

No, all hardware is supported by any new version, as it always was.
Since Version 6 Meteobridge VM is added to the family.

Please make sure that you select "USB 3.0" as USB mode when using VirtualBox. Otherwise VirtualBox freezes when you feed USB data into your Meteobridge VM.

Hello, I just arrived at Meteobridge, I'm new to everything, I just installed my weather station and decided to try Meteobridge VM, I did it on a Qnap NAS through Virtualization Station, everything seems to be working well, but I had to do a "move" before, I installed Meteobridge on VirtualBox because I didn't have a guide for Qnap and then I exported the Virtual Machine from VirtualBox to Virtualization Station, as I said before, it seems to be working without any problems. I'm leaving my experience in case someone wants to try it.

Now; being a newbie, I have no experience with the software, I would like to make some edits to the "weather34" language (I use it in Spanish) it shows some incorrect words in the translation, I would like to change them but I don't know how to do it. I don't have access to the files to edit the template, I also see that there is a newer version but I can't update either. I'm working as I said on the Virtual Machine installed on my NAS, I don't work on a specific domain (
http://myIP/PWS2/weather34-tv.php). I would appreciate your help, at least with the translation issue so I can correct words in the "weather34" template

I'll expand a bit on my situation, I've already tried to enter through SMB but without success, I tried it from Windows and from Mac, but I think there could be some problem due to the fact that I have an unofficial VM (On Qnap) perhaps that's why it's complicated to enter through SMB. So I have no way to correct the translations of the Template.

SMB can be a little quirky depending on your windows operating system hence assuming the WM options are the same as say a MBPro/2 then under System>Administration>Maintenance Media Access allows Download or Delete Files and Upload Files.
You should also be able to Download/Upload using
http://x.x.x.x/cgi-bin/download.cgi and
http://x.x.x.x/upload.html

I've never changed the actually language but they are only text files so don't see why not?
I would download the standard/default template/file you want to change (click on the actual file as highlighted and copy/paste/save as)) to an new appropriate name of your choice, do your editing, then upload back. If you were to simply edit an existing default filename then next firmware update would overwrite it back to default. The file you rename/edit/upload and save won't be overwritten next update.

you should be able to find your Weather34 langauge file here:
/tmp/mnt/PWS/MB/languages (unless the file system has changed in MB VM)
and the file name is lang.sp.php
you will have to connect via SSH or any other tool which allows you to access the file system
