MB PRO RF - Huawei E303 doesn't work properly

Hi. I have a MB PRO RF (not version 2). In the past I connected my Huawei E303 3g dongle without any problems (it was recognized as a router).
In these days I did a factory reset of my MB and I am trying to use the same dongle. This is recognized as a modem, but even if I enter the data for the connection it does not work. The same dongle connected to a PC works correctly and connects to the mobile network.
Any ideas?

Hi, I downgraded the firmware to version 3.6 but the problem is not solved. After the reboot the message "wait for modem" remains. The Huawei E303 dongle is always seen as a USB modem and not as a USB Router. At this point I fear that the dongle has some problem (even if connected directly to the PC it works regularly).
Could you kindly indicate a dongle that could work well? Or even a low-consumption 4g router that is powered by a USB? Thank you very much for the support.

When a downgrade does not do it, I don't understand how it has ever worked.
Sorry, I don't have much experience with with 4G routers/dongles, but may be other users here have.

The E303 has worked fine in the past. Probably something has changed in its configuration
