WD Live - no graph information - SOLVED?

I just got my Meteohub setup with WD Live - but I am not getting any of the graphs displaying when you click on graphs or individual instruments... Do I need to wait for a 24 hr cycle as I can't even get the last hour of wind to work or show any data... Any thoughts? I have all 4 files being sent and I have confirmed that they are there on the server and being updated...

your clientrawextra.txt and clientrawdaily.txt and clientrawhour.txt files are all empty

Have you enbabled uploading them from Graph upload menu in meteohub?

There also seems to be a problem with your clientraw.txt file as your applet shows NaN errors for Wind, rain

Are you on 2.7 version of meteohub?
If not, I would recommened updating it, because the 2.6 version had some error resulting in such NaN´s.
Then go to WD Live menu select your sensors and press SAVE to create a new WD Live template. That is a must, otherwise the old templates with the known bug are further in use!

I am using the most current version 2.7 and I have enabled uploads in the graph uploads section. They are actually uploading according to the schedule - but they are empty files as you can see! I've also assigned my sensors in the WD Live menu and saved that too. The base file is providing current conditions fine but the others are empty.

I'm at work now and perhaps I need to just go back and re-save the WD Live menu and see if that does anything to fix the problem...but right now I can't figure out why the .txt files except for the base file are basically blank with no data!

Everything is a new install this weekend - my original version was 2.3 - then I installed 2.6 - then I installed 2.7.... I created the template after I installed v2.7. Everything else is working well including uploads to WUnderground! Thanks!

By the way, WD Data Export tab has anything to do with this subject? or is it another extra feature just for sending data to WD network?

the code from the meteohub manual how to embed WDL into html is no longer valid. It does work with Firefox, but not with IE, you will only see a white window frame

At least you have data in your files - mine are empty but still uploading on the correct schedule! Interesting! On you WD Live screen - you should assign your sensors and then hit save - it sounds like this saves the template for WD Live.... For your uploads - you have to activate these in Graph Upload section.....

My question was using WDL within meteohub, and you put lite on this... I checked with a PC with Firefox installed, and that's what I was looking for. It works a treat!

But then you showed me how to embed the applet in my web page. So thanks again.

Trouble is I'm a Windows user (same for most of my web visitors), with just IE on our systems. Then can't I use WD Live feature?

You comment latest version for WLD is 6.02, but when installing meteohub 2.7 it came with 5.4. Must I update this software? Can I do it within Windows?

Are there any other chances not too difficult for a Windows user like me?

I´m not talking about meteohubs root folder, but the websites root folder.

I assume you do upload the four clientraw***.txt files to an external FTP-Server.

The folder on that FTP is your external website.
In the same folder you have to store this files
wdlconfig.xml
wdlv6_02.swf
swfobject.js

I´d recommend using the latest WDL version, because it comes with a graphical applet editor. Great stuff!

and you can access the site with the URL
http://wetterstation-honsolgen.de

which is a FRAME REDIRECT domain, from my email domain that is only 6 Euros a year ;-)

I was wondering myself that to work, but that´s what WDL writes with their FAQ about redirecting.

In other words:
My WDL serial number is registered to
www.myway.de/honsolgen and this site is also running in any other site as long as the orginal frame is called from www.myway.de/honsolgen

You can test it with the version I gave you, but if you want to get rid of the huge
EVALUATION VERSION line in the applet you´ll need to buy a serial no.
You can test it locally, using the meteohub share, because then you can enter any 10-digit serial no into wdlconfig.xml
You call then the applet with
M:\\myweb\\uploadswdlive.html
M:\\ is my meteohub network share \\\\meteohub\\public

enter only any 10-digit number in wdlconfig.xml

Only open the local html file with your wdl code in your browser.

You can copy the new WDL6.02 version to your meteohub share, as I said 5.04 is outdated and does not work with the old code in IE.

Wrapper is just a Joomla thing to incorporate another website... I do something similar to you for the serial number issue - I do a redirect at the server level rather than a Frame Redirect... Thanks!
