Incidental wrong recording of total rain

Post by robr57 »

Hi,

Since some weeks (I think since 6.2 but not sure) I noticed that sometimes my rain0total has 25,4 mm rain recorded. Even when there is no rain at all.

This happened now approximately 6 times in last month. I also run Davis Vantage Pro/2 console in parallel, but this does not get these wrong readings.

Luckily I can change the Database to remove the spurious wrong amount, but I dont know how to prevent this.

May be it is some RF false reading. What is selected RF threshold on "Station" tab? According to the strong signals coming in I would recommend "-75 db" to block RF noise effectively.

Thanks for tip. It was on -90 dB. Now set to -80 dB. There is one station with -74 dB. Will see how it behaves.
