Hi,
Anyone know if it’s possible to use the LAN port on the MBPro2 at the same time as the WiFi?
My main connectivity to the MBPro2 is via WiFi, but I have got hold of a HikVision IP camera. As this is wired only and I don’t have Ethernet in the location that I wanted to put the camera, I wondered if it’s possible to configure the MBPro2 LAN port to be active so the IP Camera can connect directly to MBPro2 via a local IP point to point link?
Cheers!

Network [Type of Connection] is LAN or Wireless LAN. If you run a Point-to-Point link from the camera to your network then the MBPro2 would be able to connect via WiFi through the network.

Thanks, that would be the ideal solution but I don’t have Ethernet at the location where the MBPro2 and camera would be, hence the question.
It’s battery / solar powered, so I don’t even have the option of a powerline Ethernet adapter.
The MBPro2 itself can work fine with both interfaces configured, as thats how the Weather Underground bridge sniffer works.
I guess the question asked another way would be if when operating in “normal” wifi mode, if the physical LAN interface for MBPro2 can be configured with an IP address so the MBPro2 can access an IP camera on that directly connected LAN.
Even better would be the WU Sniffer bridge operating in reverse - wired LAN shared onto the WiFi.
