Hi all,
I have an old Davis VP1 station that I have set up to upload data through the Meteobridge, but it doesn't seem to see the wind and precipitation data. Everything else from the ISS is visible in the live data and uploads perfectly. I think it has something to do with the fact that this data is transmitted to the console using the "SensorLink" station type (station type #9). When I attempt to set up the station sensor/transmitted IDs through the Meteobridge, no such SensorLink option is provided, only the typical ISS, Wind, Leaf, Soil, etc. If I upload via WeatherLink software, the precipitation and wind information is provided. Is there another way to get the Meteobridge to recognize this station type?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Support for SensorLink station type
SensorLink was a Transmitter/Receiver combination/pair specifically used in the Weather Monitor II and predated the VP1/ISS which inherited the same RF structure which obviously is not compatible with VP2 RF architecture.
So just to confirm you are using a VP1/ISS combination in conjunction with a MBPro and that works fine? Is the MBPro connection via RF or VP1 Console logger?
You also have the VP1 downloading to WeatherLinkPC and Uploading to WeatherLink.com? In which case you must be using have quite an old version of WeatherLinkPC, like version 5x or at least pre version 5.5 to support the SensorLink? There is a known issue with version between WeatherLinkPC and SensorLink especially relating to only rain but doubt this is an issue here?
Only guessing here but as SensorLink predated the VP1 ISS by quite some years, SensorLink may not function exactly like the VP1 ISS even though they use the same RF architecture? Not sure if SensorLink (which used a totally different logger to the VP1) fits into Davis Firmware A which is not supported by Meteobridge.
However if the MB is connected through the VP1 Console and the console receives the ISS/SensorLink data then the MB might be able to read the console through the VP1 logger or another way maybe re-transmit from the VP1 to the MB?

Re: Support for SensorLink station type
Hi Matt,
I'm using a WeatherBridge connected to a VP1 Console via a WeatherLink USB data logger. The data from the ISS (temp, humidity, wind, precip) is all visible on the VP1 consoles. I verified that all three of the consoles I have are Revision B consoles. If I set the consoles to receive data via the "ISS" station type, the precipitation data is no longer available. However, if I use the "SensorLink" station type, this data does transmit to the console. The WeatherBridge uploads everything but the precipitation data, which does not seem to be accessible when viewing the live data through the Meteobridge portal, likely due to the fact that the only available station type available to select through Meteobridge is "ISS".
I am able to download all data to WeatherLink PC (version 6.0.3 for MacOS) and upload this data to WeatherLink.com without issue, other than the need for a dedicated computer. This version does support a SensorLink station type, which is what I use to communicate with the console and station.
It seems odd that the WeatherBridge, which is connected directly to the USB data logger, selectively 'chooses' what data it can and cannot 'see'. As you said, it would seem likely that there would be a way for the Meteobridge to read the console/logger information directly.

What makes you think the precip data not coming in? Did you check on "min/max data" tab? When you grant me remote access I can have a look.
However, the equip your are sailing with seems to be about 20 years old. Meteobridge is not focussed to support equipment EOL since decades.
