Wind cup size on MBPRO2

Post by Clément »

Hello,

Currently using a Vantage Pro 2 anemometer directly with the RF reciever method on MBPRO2.
I could not find an option to setup wind cup size. Is it set as "large" by default?

The signal strength is between -68dB and -72db. Is it good?

I noticed that wind data does not always refresh every 2.5s. Is it normal behaviour? How to make it more stable and refresh every 2.5s?

Thanks!

In the context of the MBPro2 there is no inference of any Davis logic in regard Large/Small or Other etc as opposed to a Nano which being in a Davis console provides Large/Small. The difference between Large/Small/Vue (Other) including Ultrasonic is more academic than anything critical.

Signal strength is ok. What db sensitivity have you set? See Primary Station/WeatherStation (primary)[Sensitivity]. It would appear the MBPro2 is quite close to the ISS? What is the distance, any obstructions etc

The 2.5s is a bit of a Davis red herring and and really nothing to be concerned about and with the MB could also be reflected in just how "busy" the unit is configured even though certain sensors would have priority. To improve signal stability etc if the MB/ISS is at distance and/or obstructed then including a Davis Repeater will allow the claimed Davis 900 feet specification
