Hi,
I'm a new user, I wanted to try the software package. I have follow the instructions to flash the NLSU2 and to make a 2GB stick. But after that the "meteohub" cant write the data in the weather directory. The log of meteohub give that :
logger (23.08.2008 22:54:25): started TE-923 (4).
logger (23.08.2008 22:54:25): USB chip set: Vendor ID 1130:6801
logger (23.08.2008 22:54:26): Mebus hardware version 4.
logger (23.08.2008 22:54:29): failed making directory /data/weather/200808: Permission denied
and if I go to have a look on the stick by SSH I see that :
/data$ ls -l
ls: graphs: Input/output error
ls: myweb: Input/output error
ls: transfer: Input/output error
ls: uploads: Input/output error
ls: weather: Input/output error
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 4 10:51 export
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 23 20:57 log
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Jan 2 2008 lost+found
I have flash my NSLU2 with the files meteohub-firmware-2.3.bin and the stick was done with meteohub-v2.6-2GB.rar + upgrade update-v2.7.upd.
What is wrong by me???
At the moment I don't have any activation code, I'm trying and outside this problem I find this soft very interresant and good. Very good job, I'm very intessted to buy the license after this problem is solve.

Re:Directory weather without write acces
That is a clear indication that your file system on the USB stick is not set-up correctly. Please try again setting this up. How did you set it up?
I would also recommend testing the stick with the tool in the download section. USB stick image and USB stick must be of compatible size, but I think this is self explanatory.

Re:Directory weather without write acces
Thank Terrax for your answer.
I have try with a 2GB stick and with the both method like in the User manual, first with a little 256MB and with the NLSU2 and second with my computer and the Linux command dd. The files was always these for the 2GB stick. I think, I will try this week with an other one.
Here you have a screen copy of the command fdisk -l on the 2GB stick (with meteohub installed) :
Disque /dev/sdc: 2095 Mo, 2095054848 octets
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 7992 cylinders
Units = cylindres of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes
Identifiant disque: 0xb35120eb
Périphérique Amorce Début Fin Blocs Id Système
/dev/sdc1 1 1664 425968 83 Linux
/dev/sdc2 1665 2176 131072 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sdc3 2177 7550 1375744 83 Linux
(Sorry my linux is in french)
Thank you for your help.

The problem is solve.
I have try with an other stick and it's work fine.

Thank you very much Terrax for your help.
