Possible rain rate issue with WMR200? ** solved **

Post by skyewright »

rain1 (based on an RFXCOM collected WMR200 rain gauge) is currently showing 68.6 mm/hr

The WMR200 console thinks 6.9 mm/hr.

No calibration factors are used with rain1.

Observed with 2.7a and 2.7b. I'm sure this used to be okay not long ago...

PS. rain0 (based on an RFXCOM collected WMR928 rain gauge) agrees with the WMR928 console equivalent (taking into account a calibration factor).

I had a discussion with Bert from RFXCOM on this during the last days. It turns out that RFreceiver program they provide has a bug as well.

Version 2.7d fixes this for Meteohub (reduction by factor 10).

2.7d installed and it's now raining. I can confirm that the PCR800 rain rate is reporting just fine. :)
