Problems with rain offset

I've just got my NSLU2 with Meteohub running and want to adjust the rain to show the annual total to date. I have tried setting an offset equal to the total rainfall to date but it doesn't make a difference to the annual total. I have used an offset for wind direction and this does work.

I'm using Meteohub 2.8f but had the same problem with 2.7 before upgrading. What am I doing wrong, or is this a known problem.

When using Offset with Rain sensor there are 2 different data that apply:

- RainFall
- RainRate




This differs from others sensors.

In my case 0.182 is because rain collector is greater than original ... may be not you caseB)

Thanks for the pointing out the 2 different rain readings. I have entered the rain rate setting now but unfortunately this has not made any difference.

Am I missing something else? I am assuming that the offset for total rainfall is in mm and 247.4mm is entered correctly as follows.

It may be that the 'offset' is simply not intended to affect the annual total, but if so I'd expect it to count in the year in which the offset is effective from - which appears to be 2007 from your image.

Strange that it doesn´t seem to effect anything.

So any suggestions on how to adjust annual rainfall? There´s got to be a way to do it.

The way you're doing it is Ok.

Some recalculation is needed afterwards, but it's done automatically.

Do you have real data for this period? because I can see your input is about year 2007. Check it!

Did you notice my comment about 2007.
Is there any particular reason why you chose that date? If you've only just started using Meteohub, wouldn't a date / time just before your first actual data reading be okay - and presumably that date / time is in 2008?

I suspect he's doing that because of the "rain year" that some systems define. Davis systems let you specify a rain year separate from the calendar year, which is helpful in locations like mine, where meteorologists consider the rain season as October 1 - September 30. That way you can easily generate statistics comparing one wet season to another instead of arbitrarily splitting a wet season between two calendar years.

Ah. Maybe that's part of the problem.
So far as I'm aware the Meteohub 'Annual' total is simply based on the calendar year...

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. The 2007 date was a mistake on my part. I have tried no date, and various date settings but there is no difference to the data. I have waited for the recalculation to be carried out, and have also forced it. Nothing seems to make a difference to the data.
