Custom crontab entries

Post by majland »

It seems that any changes in the webinterface is causes /var/cron/tabs/root.new to be written and then /var/cron/tabs/root

Is it possible to add my own entries ?

(I've added a usb2ser adapter and on that i have a pic and some 1-wire temperature sensors. I've written a small program that reads the temperatures and just log them in files - one for each sensor)

Well 'crontab -e' does work but i'm not sure whether meteohub will overwrite it again

(and vi and its clones will never be migh favorite editors ...)

So now i'm loggin data from 3 extra temperature sensors. The plan is to measure how fast/slow the temperature inthe house changes when turning the heating off at night and the applying again before we get up. With the data i should e able to calculate some reasonabler heating profiles for the different rooms
