WMR200 & RFCOM sensors

Post by Chill »

I've a WMR200 station and I would like to know how could I add Solar Radiation or extra Wind sensor data to my meteohub.

Assuming it must be via RFXCOM, what (exactly) do I need to buy in order to be run under meteohub's system?

I need some light on what is the needed stuff to get this.

TIA,
Chill

Provided your hardware has the extra connections available, Meteohub v4 can interface to more than one weather station, so there may be other posibilities too!

For wind there are many possibilities. For solar radiation the choice is bound to be more restricted - UV sensors seem much more common than solar ones.

Currently for solar radiation I use a "temp in a jar" arrangement, i.e. an estimation based on analysis (done by WD) of the temperature difference between the normal outdoor temp and the temp inside a small glass jar!

I'm hoping to add more direct measurement of solar radiation using a 1-wire based system and Meteohub v4's "plug-in" feature, but that is very much a spare time project and could take months (or even years!) to come to fruition.

The only curretly available "off the shelf" solution I'm aware of for solar radiation with a simple connection to a Meteohub, would be a Davis...
