Hi,
Has anyone had a problem with upload of data to the Weather Underground site. Lately it has been intermittent in that there are gaps showing when looking at the days history on your weather station web page. Also I have times when I'm getting no data into meteohub from my WMR100. This problem doesn't coincide with the weather underground problem so I don't think it's related. Is my NSLU2 having problem?
Thanks

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
I've also been having connection problems with the WU rapid fire service so I think that issue is on their end (or at least partially on their end -- you might have bigger issues as noted below.)
For your second problem you might have a bad USB stick. Check your Meteohub log files (primary the Alarm log and Meteohub log, although Alarm might be filled with tons of WU errors) and look for error messages relating to bad data or communication problems, and report back some examples so we can diagnose further.

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
Issue 1) I don't see any connect issue with WU using Rapid fire today. My log shows only two instances of problems back on the 4th and 8th. Today shows a drop out from Weatherbug but nothing else.

Issue 2) I ran a NSLU2 for about a year. I liked it, but I found that no matter which USB stick I was using it seemed that from time to time it would create some sort of file corruption on the USB stick. Over this year I ended up rebuilding the entire unit about 4 or 5 times. Very frustrating.
Try a simple reboot to fix this issue. If that doesn't work you may have to remove and add your weather station again to the software. The ultimate thing may be a rebuild as I've experienced this before as well.
I'm currently running Meteohub on a new eBox 3300 and look forward to leaving my NSLU2 issues behind. Best of luck.

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
Thanks for your reply sevenless. I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. I've been gone for about 8 hours and when I got back and checked Weather Underground it had no data coming in from 11:06 until 16:30 then it started receiving data again from then until now 17:42. I'll check the logs as you suggest.
Thanks again

Thanks for the reply cbhiii,
What's involved in going the eBox 3300 route?

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
The eBox3300 is a 486 PC basically in a tiny box (about the same as NSLU2). It runs on a Compact Flash card instead of a USB stick so it's more reliable.
They run about $150 for the entry model which is all you need.

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
Will any CF card do or does it have to be an industrial strength card?
Thanks

Re:Meteohub and Weather Underground
I'm not using an industrial card.
I didn't want to pay the $50 price tag for that kind of card. I'm just using a $16 4GB Transcend card. So far no issues. If it becomes a problem later down the road then I may have to get an industrial card.
