[PROBLEM] WDisplay Export and Wunderground data doesn't matc

Post by D70 »

It's not the first time that I noticed that the values that Meteohub exports to the WDisplay log file are not the same values that are reported to Wunderground.

This weekend, because of Xynthia, Meteohub as reported to WUnderground a wind gust of 80 km/h, but after I parsed the 022010lg.txt log file I noticed that that max gust was only 48 km/h!
I've attached the 022010lg.txt log file for analysis and the log file.

Why is Meteohub reporting different values (higher) to WUnderground than those in the log files?

wu asks for max gust as gust value. wd and wswin receive what weather station recently reports as gust, which for most weather stations is actual wind speed not being averaged (not maximum during last 10 minutes only).

in general it is quite undefined what gust should be and weather stations have different definitions applied to it.

Hi Boris, thanks for feedback.

So the idea of using exports files "WD like" to build my SQL database it seems a bad idea because this way I will never get the, for instance, the all time gust record in my database.
What others approaches there are to import data to a SQL database?

So... there is any better approach to import into a SQL database the data collected by Meteohub?

So... nobody has yet imported the Meteohub data into a SQL database?

Thanks skyewright for your feed-back.

That approach seems to be an export in a real-time basis, what I would like is to export all data to a SQL Database and not only the "last second" data.
