Thought I'd get rsync configured (to backup from 4.6c), but I'm getting the singularly unhelpful error:

Error connecting to module data at nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn:873: unexpected response: ''
Got fatal error during xfer (unexpected response: '')

I haven't modified the rsync.conf at all - what might I be missing?
[nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn substitutes for the actual IP address; the rsync install works fine for several other hosts]
