Davis Vantage Vue and Meteohub

Post by Sedrani »

Hi to all!
I have a problem with the data imported by Meteohub from my Vantage Vue console. The monthly and yearly rain are not correct. Meteohub display only a minimum part of the rain.
The data in WeatherLink are correct.
Where is the problem?
Thanks

How long have you been using Meteohub?

Meteohub only "knows" about rain it has "seen", i.e. it looks for increases in the total rainfall figure and notes those.

If, say, you started using Meteohub on May 10th, then the Meteohub figures will be the rain from that date; it won't know about rain earlier in the year or earlier in May.

If you want Meteohub to know about that earlier rain then you'll need to tell it (which would involve creating dummy entries in meteohub's 'raw' data files (see the manual for the format of such entries).

I imagine that WeatherLink (being software designed specifically for the Davis) uses a different approach basing its figures on various totals noted by the Davis console?

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is exactly as you say. The data stored in the Vantage Vue console before the activation of the Meteohub unit are not read.
I will do as you said. I'm going to modify the raw data.
Thanks again.
