how do i fix "called without parameter "myURL" ?

I am no html coder by any strech of the imagination. I have found a few posts here that deal with this issue. I think the consensus is the code in the manual is wrong. What files do I need to edit to be able to utilize the swf file? I believe I need to add the <my meteoplug> I am just not sure where!
