Get access to configuration without port-forwarding?

Hi,

at first I really want to appreciate the work you've done on the meteohub software. It is a very nice software with so much functionality, that you can't use all features in one life.
But I also have a little problem with my meteohub. I installed it at an university's LAN where I can't change the router configuration. So, I won't be able to create a port-forwarding rule to my meteohub to get access to the configuration webpage from the Internet. Do you have any idea, how I can get access to the configuration webpage without port-forwarding? Would it be possible that the meteohub will create a vpn connection?

Thank you very much!

Akio

if your client computer is already VPN enabled and after login to the university LAN should be part of the local network with a local IP.
So, if VPN is working you should be able to open meteohub´s webgui from that PC.

I do not think university networking admins allowing normal PC Hosts exposed to the internet.

Hi,

thank you for your reply. My university's LAN doesn't support a VPN login. So, the meteohub has to log on another VPN Server, I installed here in my local network, which is open for vpn connections from the internet.
Do you know, if it would be possible that the meteohub establishes his own vpn-connection to a server?

Thank you very much!
