Can I use Meteohub?

Post by landranger »

Hi,

I currently have a Vantage Pro (Original Wireless version, not Pro 2) and will be updating to Firmware B (as this is what Meteohub supports).

Though, my data logger has a mac serial connector that then connects to a Keyspan USA-28 serial to USB connector. Can I use this setup or do I need to get my hands on a PC serial converter and PC data logger cord? Not sure if this makes sense. I'll upload a picture of the data logger --> serial cable (Mac mini din 8) --> usb converter (Keyspan USA-28).

I'm looking to use the Dreamplug or Sheevaplug with the Meteohub software.

Thanks!

that depends on the chipset used in your adapter. pl2303, ftdi, cp2101 will work.
i cant find out what the keysan uses. do you have an usb product and vendor id?

however, even if it is not working, you can get cheap pl2303 based adapters on amazon or ebay for a couple of $.
