My Meteohub system is running for 3 years now, the datafile is around the 3.3 GB and I want to delete the data of the first year fisically.
Can I just delete the data wich is stored in the public map, start Meteohub again or do I have to do this with the "Inspect data" function?
How to delete data?

When I've done this I've just copied the folders I'm about to delete to an archive on another computer, then deleted the relevant month folders from the weather folder on the meteohub, e.g. weather\201001, then used Maintenance => Recompute.HeinrichH wrote:My Meteohub system is running for 3 years now, the datafile is around the 3.3 GB and I want to delete the data of the first year fisically.

I've done that several times.
I presume that if I ever moved my Meteohub licence to a device with more space and more power I could do the reverse too, i.e. copy folders back from the archive and then Recompute to have those months incorporated back into the database.

Thanks for the info. The recomputing time is one of the problems on the moment, It takes more then 24 hours to do the re-calculation.
The system is running on a HP Thin Client with 2008 Bogo Mips

That's a significant factor in my choice to keep the Meteohub database slimmer.HeinrichH wrote:The recomputing time is one of the problems on the moment, It takes more then 24 hours to do the re-calculation.
I have a Meteoplug licence too. On Meteoplug I have a full set of data so I can use that for long term data and analysis.
