error receive data from socket 127.0.0.1:5555

Post by Headworx »

Dear,

From time to time (2-3 times a month) I keep getting the following error:
error receive data from socket 127.0.0.1:5555: Resource temporarily unavailable
Warning: Data logging has been halted.
After my recent upgrade to 4.8 (Build 789) it happens every second day. I run quite heavily loaded SheevaPlug (6 weather stations: 1 Davis, 3 RFXCom, system data and virtual (simple bash plugin).

What is the reason of this error and what can I do to fix it?

Cheers,

What does "meteohub log" tell?

When the logger restarts/stops the message apaers, as the Meteohub GUI does read curent data for "sensors" page by a tcp read request to the logger. The error indicates, that the logger does not respond on the request.

The logs are empty. Only dmesg shows some entries, the rest of the logs are blank.

Boris, any idea how to proceed with this issue? My stations are not recording any data for several weeks now...

Yes sure. Is port 22 / SSH enough? I will have to reconfigure the router. I will do this on Saturday, so you are welcome to have a look at it just after Christmas.

ports 22 and 7777 would be fine. please send credentials (WAN IP etc) to "info(at)meteohub.de" attached with a short failure description or link to this thread, so I can remember... I get plenty of mails ;-)
