Indoor temperature alarm

Post by harryp »

Currently have older NSLU2 server and WMR 968 station at my vacation home. I would replace the server and/or the weather station if there is something newer available which would monitor indoor temperature at my remote location and send me an e-mail if temperature drops below a selected level.
Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

I asked a similar question on 11 Feb 2011, in the wishes thread. I got a useful response, although I did not implement it. I don't know if this URL will take you directly to it or not: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8367&p=9560#p9560

I just had the idea if the whole alert thing can´t be done with a virtual sensor?
Q. is it possible to do
if...then
and
start scripts
from virtual sensor definitions???
