Sensor data displays, isn't logged or uploaded

Post by andrew02467 »

My WS-2080 and Meteohub have been rock solid for almost a year but yesterday at 5.33p suddenly the sensor data stopped logging. The wireless data from the outside sensors appear on the display unit but the USB attached Meteohub says there is no data being received from the sensors. I was at an earlier 4.9 release, tried 4.9e last night and am running on 4.9f/1039 now but no change..still no sensor data accumulating. In addition to updating the firmware I have rebooted the unit, but was reluctant to use reset as it warned about the activation code being lost (I did a "save" on it but wasn't clear where it saved it to). I usually upload to wunderground but now the log says it can't upload the data as the sensors selected aren't providing recent data. I have tried stopping and restarting the logger (admittedly redundant after a reboot anyway) but that seems fine:
logger (10.04.2012 12:24:58): data logger (version 4.9f, build 1023) started.
logger (10.04.2012 12:24:59): connect station 0 (WH-1080/3080 via USB HID).

Any suggestions of how to get the logger to "see" the data which I can see displaying on the screen?

Cheers,
Andrew

To give closure on this, I found that by unplugging the WS2080 USB cable from the meteohub, then resetting the WS2080 by holding the up arrow in for 30 sec I was able to clear out a locked USB port. All is well.

interesting. it is known that some wmr100 do lock up from time to time. that the stations from fine offset might also have that problem sometimes is new information to me.
