My Ambient WS-2090 station connected to a USB hub that is connected into the MeteoBridge MR3020 running 1.6 had been working great for about 2 weeks, but now has started to stop updating Wunderground about every 3-4 days. I have not found the secret sauce to getting it working again other than having to take turn off the MR3020, take the batteries out of the WS-2090, and put the batteries back in the WS-2090, and reboot the MR3020.
The info on the WS-2090 is accurate and updates, so it is seems to be something in the connectivity to the MR3020 that is failing. Any suggestions on things to try?

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
Could you please send your Meteobridges MAC (displayed on System tab) to "info(at)meteobridge.com"?
This might allow me to login and check what is going on after a few days...

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
Just to ask the obvious... Are you using a USB 2.0 hub inbetween weather station and Meteobridge?
If that is not present, connection will fail sooner or later.

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
The hub is behind a firewall so I will need to open an SSH port to it. Will do so this weekend.
Don't know about the hub. I bought it as a package from Ambient, but will try putting a new 2.0 hub on it.
Thanks!

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
There must be a USB 2.0 hub between weather station and the Meteobridge.
That is for sure the reason of your station drop-outs.

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
There is a USB 2.0 bridge (netgear). I bought the Ambient Weather WS-2090 internet package which included the Meteobridge and USB hub.
I found out that if I just reboot the Meteobridge that it still does not work. I have to take the batteries out of the WS-2090 and power off everything else, the put the batteries back in the WS-2090 and reboot the Meteobridge, which brings everything back online.

Your firewall should not be an hurdle as having your MAC and you having the "allow remote login"
option on system tab selected, the Meteobridge can initiate a ssh tunnel to my server,
which allows me to login. As long as your firewall does not prohibit outgoing traffic, it will
not be challanged in any way.
Might sound a bit scary, but you control if that can happen by the "allow remote login" switch
and it does free the users to reconfigure their routers with port forwarding etc...

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
Thanks!
I bought a new USB 2.0 hub and will try that first. 2 days so far without a blip, so hopefully that will be the ticket. If it fails again I'll PM you the MAC. I very much appreciate your kind offer but don't want to waste your time if it turns out to be a simple fix.
I'll post again this weekend and let you know how it is going.

Re: Not reporting data after 3-4 days
There has been no missed data since I installed the new USB hub. Thanks for the advice!
