USB Protocol Errors with DC01 and Vantage Pro2

I am seeing quite a few data interruptions in my wunderground graphs. Digging through the logs on meteohub, I see the data gaps are directly attributable to communication problems between the DC01 from Ambient and the Vantage Pro2. The USB cable I am using is 10ft long, within the 5-meter USB maximum length specification. When communication resumes, there is data in the logger available. The log files indicate USB protocol errors. I could use some help.

After installation of the USB hub, as well as updating the firmware to 3.12 (it was on 3.00) I am no longer seeing these protocol errors, and the data gaps are no more. Thank you for the tip.
