USB Stick and Meteobridge

Post by joe002 »

I believe that in one of your other threads you mentioned that if I have a FAT32 formatted USB stick installed in my meteobridge box I’ll be able to run my meteobridge even if your server is not accessible. If I don’t have the stick installed and your server becomes unavailable then my meteobridge will continue to work, but if I reboot it then it won’t come up. Do I have all of that correct?

If all of that is true, then it sounds like you would recommend all meteobridge users to keep a stick installed, correct? Other than the small cost of a stick is there a downside to keeping one installed?

BTW – I really like having the meteobridge setup with my station and WU – it really makes a big difference! :D

All your assumptions are true.

Nevertheless, I will try to continue on maximize my server uptime
and the new hosting in North America performs very good so far.

OK, thanks. I'll keep it installed for now - can't hurt.
