email not working ** solved **

I'm still working with a demo version of meteohub. I got FTP working, but no such luck with email. I've configured the web page for a gmail.com email address which is easily accessible and tested from elsewhere on the same LAN as meteohub. I checked the system log and it looked fine I assume. When I pressed the test email button, meteohub spawned meteohub.cgi with and myAddr@gmail.com as parameters. I'm not sure what else to check. I grep-ed meteohub.cgi for \"sendmail\" and verified the symbolic link was set up correctly.

As a general note, since I'm new to meteohub, is there any troubleshooting guides, faqs, or such which I can reference before posting here? I've downloaded the manual, but I was looking for more.

most common problem is that the source address is not a fully qualified email address and therefore your provider does not accept the outgoing mail.

Please try with setting your normal fully qualified email address the provider has given to you as source address.

It turns out the problem was actually with connecting to the Gmail SMTP server. Gmail makes things overly complicated, so now I just switched to my domain hosting service and everything (with email) is working fine.
