How do I copy and replace the CF card ALIX1D ?
I would be really grateful if someone could point me to a simple guide for changing the CF card in my ALIX 1D

Same here. I'd like to be ready should my CF fail. Is there any way to clone the CF so if the working one fails you just switch off, replace CF and switch on?

Simply use "diskimage" on windows or "dd" on Linux.
Google will tell you how to make complete copies of the naked device across all partitions and not just copying one partition or just the filesystem.
