USB stick dead?
Hi there. My meteohub was offline since february 2009. So I went to my station and rebooted it: to no avail. Now I went back to check it out. I can't reach meteohub, but it is recognised by the router, but no access. I do not see one of the green leds for disk 1 or disk 2 light up, so I guess the USB ...

Re:3 UV meters and updates in combination with weatherunderg
But I want them to use the same ID! If I start them up one after another with a one minute interval, it would look like it is the same sensor. Now they all would point to another direction so the highest value would be an indication of solar duration (sort of of course UV is only a part of the solar ...

3 UV meters and updates in combination with weatherundergrou
What if I start three of the same UV sensors, one pointed to the east, another to the south and another to the west. Will Meteohub see them as three separate UV meters or as one, because they do not have different channels?? I have noticed that UV-meters only measure a part of the day, despite full ...

called the provider and a specialist
First, the specialist...he installed many Speedtouch routers but was not so sure if he could make this work. So he told me he would call me after he consulted another specialist. And he did call me. Porbably problem: Solcon provider, which is a provider that filters on porn, violence etc.

WHat happens if I reset the NSLU2 with the button?
Will I have to install meteohub all over again, like with a new NSLU2 ready to get meteohub installed?
Is there a difference here between pressing the button for 2 seconds or for 10 seconds and do youhave to have the NSLU2 ON or OFF when you reset it?

Re:Went over there
I saw the pictures on picasa. I am pretty sure that I have never seen the option that I can manually change the ports (although yu do not use it), but neither the ability to clone the ports either.
I have e-mail the service provider and they will take a look for me. Wait and see.
Mfg,
Jorge

Re:Went over there
Wekll, in all the commotion 9my commotion) I of course forgot that to UPLOAD data, all these settings are not necessary. This also minimises the chance of intrusions etc. So for the time being, I could set it up like this and get all the data sent to me, while i try diverse settings.

Went over there
and could not open the Meteohub on the router. It is there, but I cannot edit. It shows the port 80, but I cannot change that. The router just doesn't let me edit it.

Re:dyndns needs an update?
May be because there is no device currently attached to it? I take the Meteohub with me when I am done over there, because I have to put a waterproof housing on the wall as it resides in barn. Won't do that, until I have this working.
So should it ping or shouldn't it.

Re:dyndns needs an update?
Well...I try all possibilities. If I had this thing over here, I would be testing all the time and take much more risks. Because this router is essential to someone elses Internet access, I am cautious. So I try to do what I can and see what happens, as long as I do not have to take risks.

Re:dyndns needs an update?
I am currently at home, so WAN IP shows my home WAN. It also shows an old IP from the router as the standard setting.
Model is the 780 (and it is not mine! ;-) ).
When I was there yesterday, it was changed (from 212.xx.xxx.xxx into 213.xx.xxx.xxx). Which seems logical (checked what is my IP). But ...

dyndns needs an update?
what does that mean. I have read couple of fora. I searched google on it, but did not found it on dyndns.org, although it is probably there.
I read that every even hour, dydndns updates an IP address. The router is constantly on, so what does this remark in the routers GUI, section Dynamic DNS mean ...

Re:Can't find meteohub with other router
Oke, I did not know that I have to type....xx.dyndns.org:80 I tried to access it once without the :80.
In the manual of Meteohub I read that I have to type :80 or :8888/admin.html . Is this correct, meaning the only way to access the meteohub with the addition of "admin.html"?

Re:Can't find meteohub with other router
Thanks, I will try that. Did you take a look at the screnshots and if so, found anything peculiar? As I ahev said: the more I try to find out about the Speedtouch, the more it seems to me that this router is particulary bad for these sorts of things. I am everstill reading hours on end, but it is ...

Re:Can't find meteohub with other router
Hej,
Thanks. So I can keep my dyndns the same, but only have to add :8888 to it. AND have to try to forward Port 8888 to local port 80 in the router I guess?
So I have to "translate" port 80 into 8888 (see link) in the router, or not?
