Thinking of replacing my WMR 928 with a Davis Vantage Pro but do not know which model to choose.
Has anyone views on the solar / UV version, is it worth the extra £400 (if bought as a special deal) and what useful date can I expect from it.
Any help will be very welcome

Re: Pro 2 or Pro 2 Plus
It is useful for solar data more accurate than homebuilt solar in a jar. I have a solar pool heater on the roof (out of commission for the season) that I have tweaked for performance. Pro 2 Plus was more expensive but I splurged for it anyway. Now I'm glad I did.
Actually, I'm glad I replaced the WMR200 for a number of technical reasons, including more reliability.
Last several days were sunny, except sun is lower to the horizon. In full summer, solid graphs upwards to 950W/qm.

Re: Pro 2 or Pro 2 Plus
As you mention a price in £ I'll guess you are in the UK?southfield wrote:Any help will be very welcome
When I upgraded from OS equipment to Davis I got a wirless VP2 Pro from a UK supplier.
Then about a year later I added a Davis solar sensor to the VP Pro by purchasing the sensor and the mounting platform direct from a US supplier - since the sensor just plugs in to the ISS the US model is just the same as a UK supplied one.
I could add UV too in the same way, but the UV sensor is quite a bit more expensive than the solar one and I'm not so interested in UV data, so I'm happy with just having the solar.
