Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
I can now get meteobridge to show up on router device list and meteobridge now shows normal lights, BUT,
I cannot access meteobridge by entering its IP address 192.168.0.115 into URL window: When I do it rolls over to a Google search
If I enter aircam IP address, the camera video shows up.
Meteobridge MAC number is 64:66:b3:93:cc:d4

I switched browsers and could access meteobridge and went through setup again.
But Aircam initializes successfully but still have red X as before

Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
Please do a reboot of Meteobridge with option "allow smartgedded remote login" (system tab) switched on.
Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
The DLink router will no longer connect to the modem, so i cannot access meteobridge. Reset & POPO do not work.
I may have to get a new router (dlink support is either down or swamped) and that may solve aircam upload problem

"allow smartgedded remote login" (system tab) switched on." is now switched on.
I had to replace the router to get a connection with the modem again.
mac number of meteobridge emailed separately to the info address

I rebooted the meteobridge and sent an email confirming mac number
2
What is the procedure in general on making a remote login when provided the MAC of any device, not just meteobridge?

Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
hi, I now could login and found the root cause.
It is a Aircam version 1.1.5. Up to now the init script could only handle 1.1 and 1.2.
I changed a few things so it now also reacts correctly on any 1.1.x version.

Thanks! It now works perfectly on Meteo Bridge and shows the image.

My submittal of a defective URL to WU last Friday for villieweCAM1, was of course rejected today.
I clicked on the meteobridge WU icon after the fix of today and it comes up with a web page showing the rejection,
but I am not sure if URL is fixed automatically and thus ready for submittal again.
How do I edit the WU cam settings to reflect today's fix? Paste in a new URL or a new FTP?

Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
Do you feed WU CAM by giving a URL where WU can grab the picture or do you use the WU CAM Upload option provided on Metrebridges "Weather Network" tab?
Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
WU uploads saved images via FTP OR goes to a URL which points to a saved image.
I would prefer using a URL.
It is not clear how to have meteobridge save the image in a directory for WU to find using a URL.
Do you have an example of a URL used to successfully submit to WU from meteobridge so I can modify accordingly?

Did you read the wiki? There (http://meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/W ... her_Camera) it says "When you click onto the left camera icon, you will be directed to the URL on the Meteobridge server, where the latest uploaded image is stored". How can I say it more clearly?
Click onto the lense icon pointed to by the red arrow (on your Meteobridge's "Weather Station" tab) and a browser window with the URL in its headline will show up.

Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
I think I was led astray by assuming I should not cascade two servers but simply have wunderground server access my images directly. Unfortunately, I had not so far figured out a way to save my own images from the air cam
To keep the reader from going astray the way I did, I would suggest an alternate opening sentence
"The easiest way to upload weather camera images to Weather Underground is to first upload it to the Meteobridge server by selecting Meteobridge Weather Camera from the weather network pull down menu, click on the left camera lens icon, and then copy the URL of the resulting image web page. Then select Wunderground Weather Camera from the pull down menu, click on the associated icon and paste in the URL from the meteobridge server

Re: SUCCESSFUL AIRCAM INITIALIZATION BUT NO UPLOAD TO MB"
For me the easiest way to integrate an webcam picture to Weather Underground is to use the "Weather Underground Camera" option from Meteobridge "Weather Network" tab. You simply have to specify your WU Camera ID and WU password and an upload interval. Voila.
One might argue that this service is more error prone because it is an FTP upload and WU seems to have trouble with their Weather Cam services, but from what I know it does not really make a difference in regard to WU issues if you provide the pictures in a FTP push mode or give WU the task to poll from given URLs.
