Post by rvbruch »

Hi !

the meteobridge stopps reporting as you can see at 5:00

Image

At 9:30 I´ve resetted meteobridge, it worked for a few minutes and stopped again. As you can see, before 5:00 it worked fine.

The config is to transmit to Live each 30sec, to Clud 10min
Wunderground 5min
weatherbug 15min
wetter.com 5min

The meteobridge is installe on an TL-MR3020 and is connected via Lan and DHCP. My Network works fine, no other Problems

The errors look very much like a missing USB hub, where the serial connection
drops after a while. Do you have a USB hub in between?

No,
The Vantage Pro II is directly connected to the TL. As I think, the USB-Port of the Vantage should be USB2, is´nt it ?
I had an additional USB-Extension-Cable connected, that I have removed meanwhile. Perhaps it was the Problem.

HELP! HELP!!!!! HELP! HELP!!!!! HELP!

I have an Ambient weather system connected to a TP-LINK via USB cable which is connected to a Belkin USB somethingoranother (but I was told is required) connected via USB to my router. For the first week or so, this system worked and reported weather updates to WeatherUnderground, WeatherBug, and a couple of other reporting sites. Now, the system keeps disconnecting and, for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. Any and all help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The usb hub should go between your weatherstation and your meteobridge, then it should all work fine.

So sorry, I misspoke. I have the Ambient weather system hooked to the Belkin thing hooked to the TP-LINK hooked to the router. It's not working like that.

No idea what your problem is. Does log file on "system" tab still show the same errors?
When it reports that a device cannot be reached you have FOR SURE a problem in the way
you connect your weather station. try to check if logger is attached ok at the console etc,
make console powerless (batteries and power supply), check if you understand what host
and client ports of an USB hub are, etc. Very basic stuff.

Final words... In the end it turned out that the Vantage console was running on weak batteries.
Changing to AC solved the problem.

Problem with river0040's Fine Offset (WS-1080, WS-1090, WS-3080, etc) station was caused by a USB hang-up of the station itself. Please use this recipe to solve data stall situations with this station type:
1) disconnect USB
2) disconnect from AC
3) take out batteries
4) wait a minute
5) plugin and power up the station again
