I re-booted my Meteobridge Pro to play with the new ability to set the windows workgroup name.
Unfortunately, the Meteobridge Pro does not show up when I poke around my network looking for windows shares.
Is this feature just not finished yet? I'm hoping that this is intended to allow access to the weather data through a samba shared directory. I did not see any documentation yet though.
Samba share? **solved**

Windows-7 environment in the network box as METEOBRIDGE, clicking on it gives me the logon box
Mac environment in the finder as Meteobridge, clicking gives the data folder as guest, right clicking the logon box.
So it is there, screenshot attached, sorry for the Dutch language.
What windows version are you using?
Did the device show with a network scan program?

Re: Samba share?
There are no windows systems on my network. No Apple systems either. I run Linux Mint. Samba is installed, and I can see other things that support windows networking, but not the meteobridge Pro.
Re: Samba share?
Simply address the Samba share by its IP and you are done.
If it shows up on your desktop automatically or not doesn't
seem to be anything to spend much thinking on...

[s]I would not mark this solved.[/s]
Using nemo and in the address bar typing smb:/192.168.63.19 (its address on the network) gives me the following error message: 'Could not find "smb:///192.168.63.19"` (yes, it added the additional slashes).
Of course, it is also not finding my printer which previously showed up in the windows workgroup previously. There was an update to samba today, might have something to do with it.
Edit: A bit of googling later... It seems it wants two forward slashes "smb://192.168.63.19". It finds it now. I really wish software engineers would take the time to write useful error messages. (talking about nemo here, not metobridge).
Anyway, I guess it is ok to mark this solved. (I wish I could use the strikeout text format here so I could strikeout the first sentence of this post. I tried, but it appears [s] strikeout [/s] is not supported bold works though )
