Re: MBP - Display Crash
I have been having ongoing issues with this problem for some time. A reboot "fixes" it for a while.
I tried reverting to the original display option rather than the "Big", and the same thing happened.
It just happened again this morning.
I am running:
Meteobridge 2.7 (Feb 21 2016, build 9199), FW 1.4

Re: MBP - Display Crash
I have a special script running at one of the machines of affected users.
When you allow me to implement this also on yours, chances are even
better to nail it down short term. This is giving trouble for too long imho,
but it is really hard to grab...

Re: MBP - Display Crash
I just updated with the new code (Meteobridge 2.8 (Mar 3 2016, build 9378), FW 1.4) and the display was stuck on the SmartBedded/IP Address screen within a short period of time.
I increase the APRS upload interval to 5 minutes and and my Linux box reboots the MB-Pro at midnight.
I am willing to test the special script. Let me know if I need to disable the reboot at midnight.

Re: MBP - Display Crash
Please try just released code.
Re: MBP - Display Crash
This latest version does not seem to start the internal meteostick radio function. There was no flashing of the top (red) LED and the data was stale, even though the Networks and FTP services were being uploaded with the stale data.admin wrote:Please try just released code.
I had to revert to 2.7 to get it working again. I had to do a power off reboot, since the "reboot" function was not acting properly.

Re: MBP - Display Crash
I don't think update has effect on RF reception. That part was not touched.
Re: MBP - Display Crash
I set the MBP to pick up the latest again this morning, and this time I got the top "radio" LED blinking. I don't know what happened yesterday, because I reverted twice to 2.7 after trying the latest 2.8. Unless I got caught up in the other issue between releases and it was really that HTTP/FTP problem. There was no top LED activity though on the two attempts I mentioned.admin wrote:I don't think update has effect on RF reception. That part was not touched.
Things are "not quite right" still. After 15 minutes the live data had not stabilized or shown. There was a "locked database" message. A reboot from the GUI hangs a the "reboot" screen forcing a power cycle to recover.
Back to 2.7...

UPDATE:
I now have SW Version: Meteobridge 2.8 (Mar 3 2016, build 9385), FW 1.4 running properly. Station #1 via repeater is "down" today. Apparently 2.8 doesn't like this situation with a dead transmitter on Station #1. For some reason 2.7 was OK. I know that this is an unusual case, but the lack of Channel 1 was causing all kinds of problems only with the newest version.
