Is there a setting to turn off the lines as indicated on my chart below? I'm not sure what they are trying to tell me.

Progress has been made thanks to Boris, it seems the problem with the trends is with the browser Chrome. trends display as they should in Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
The next question is....

How do I give more options for the time span, it currently can only do a maximum of two days. I'd like to be able to select
1 week
1 month
1 year
I've had a look at the chart template but can't see a place to change it.

Have you checked the Time Period & Resolution drop down box above the chart? Should be able to do up to 3 months with many options in between with a 1 hour resolution. Pushing things to do any more than 2 days with the 1 minute resolution option

Regarding the disturbing lines this seems to be a browser related issue. It does show on Chrome sometimes, while other browsers don't seem to be impacted. Looks like amchart has released a fix, which I will give a test drive.

    Some rendering issues because of a bug in new Chrome release fixed.
    Stock chart event stacking issue fixed.

Higher resolution for larger time frames is not supported by intent. Per minute data is only stored in RAM and therefore limited to about 48 hours. The system cannot hold more of it. hourly data can be used rather versatile but there also is a limit, when it will result to tens of thousands of data points, which will massively blow up the chart size and will make it utterly slow.

Thank you to Mattk and admin, I now have charts working correctly and other time spans available in Chrome.
