Greetings all, I have been operating a Vantage Vue ISS Meteobridge Pro Red with great success since May 2017. November to March I operate it remotely (200mile round trip from home) using a solar panel, 12v SLA battery for power via a 12V to 5V inverter with mini USB output, a USB Huawei 3G modem for internet connectivity.
The Meteobridge Pro Red is in my caravan and communicates with the ISS directly rather than through the console. Although most people will not be bothered about interior humidity, I found it quite useful as I use calcium chloride dehumidifier traps and the internal humidity sensor is a useful guide to when the calcium chloride needs replaced and a visit is required. I check the interior humidity every 6 weeks by logging into the MBPro red's web interface. I was surprised to find internal humidity had stuck on 30% since the 21st December. Digging about in the other data, I have found that on the 21st December there was also a sudden increase in box climate temperature at about 18:00hrs from about 32C to about 65C!
The MBP Red had been running at that temperature since then. (A valuable lesson to me is to log in and check more regularly.)
The MBPro Red is situated on a high shelf in a reasonably well ventilated location.
The supply voltage seems stable before after and during the 21st December:
Being remote, the only thing I have done so far is to reboot the MBPro Red to the latest software today. Previously it had been running 126 days without a reboot. I am obviously going to shut it down and drive down as soon as I can. I would be most grateful for any suggestions. Thank you. Douglas

Re: Meteobridge pro red sudden overheating
It may be that the temperature sensor is faulty rather than the unit is running at 65C. Somewhat surprisingly, the indoor temperatures still make sense. I have an indoor temperature offset of -17.4 degrees. The caravan has full height and width double glazed glass wall on its SSE facing side and so it heats up when it is sunny.
Today which was cloudy 3/2/2019 the indoor temperature was 0.8C min to 4.6C max compared with outdoor temp -3.9C 6.3C max.
Yesterday which was full sun all day 2/2/2019 the indoor temperature was 1.5C min 16.0C max compared with outdoor temp -3.2C min 4.7 max.

Re: Meteobridge pro red sudden overheating
Well a period of ill health prevented me from visiting my remote station where the MBP Red had been reporting a box climate temperature (thb9temp) of 65-83C. Everything else seemed to be working fine and although I tried rebooting the MBP Red remotely it did not fix the issue.
I have now returned to the remote station and was pleased to find that the MBPRed did not feel hot to touch. I tried another reboot but the thb9temp was still reporting 80C. So I disconnected the power for 3 minutes and then re started the MBP Red. Fortunately this did the trick and thb9temp is now averaging 41C.

Re: Meteobridge pro red sudden overheating
Looks like the sensor has freaked out for some reason. Never had this before.
Re: Meteobridge pro red sudden overheating
I had the same (almost) issue a couple of months ago with my MBP Red, however, my humidity sensor reported 48%, and the temp was Between 68°-75°, not sure what the load was unfortunately, a cold boot (removing power a few seconds and then reconnect) solved the issue for me as well
