After update to 4.1 no FTP upload and historical data missing. **solved**

I'd like to make a request to enable Historical Data to be edited and also allow for date to be entered. This way I could rebuild the lost historical data from other database manually. Currently you can't change the date, all you can do is change the record. I like being able to mouse over and see the record date.

Yes, thank you. For some reason when I go to edit a historical record it doesn't show me the date. It only shows to edit the data. I didn't know it was possible to enter date also. It just wasn't obvious because it wasn't presented.

you learn something new everyday , wiki or these forums have a wealth of not so obvious ways of doing things..gus wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2019 1:25 pm Yes, thank you. A missing unit will be computed automatically. Beside values you can also change the timestamp, when the min/max event has occured. You simply do that by adding a "@yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM" string to the value. You can state the full date or just hours and minutes ("HH:MM"). Separation of numeric fields inside the datestamp you can use any non-digit character. Sequence from the end must be: minutes, hour, day, month, year. When you finally save changes, display will be refreshed and shows data you have updated.

My 3020 has also been problematic since installing 4.1 (sept 21). Initially it gets stuck in a reboot loop, slow blink, fast blink, slow blink. After a lot of troubleshooting I can get it to start by disconnecting my Vantage Vue and plugging it back in once it restarts. I restarted this morning after noticing the below email issue and the reboot loop started again.
I also noted this morning my Sent Email had failed, the error was couldn't load "library" or something close to that.

I think it is a RAM issue. As the MB grows more features it reaches 95% to 96% RAM used and it becomes unstable. I had to remove some Event alert triggers (down to 6 from 9), removed MetePlug upload, and removed WLAN Bridge. My config file dropped in size from 12 KB to 11 KB and now is smooth sailing. It isn't the 1 KB in config file size that makes the difference, it is those extra items that run that take up more CPU resources and RAM. I'm now only using 93% to 94% RAM and that makes all the difference. Using MR-3020. I have 14 weather services configured (2 of them are camera upload.) plus mySQL upload.

I now see new firmware available that makes more RAM available. Now with new firmware I'm now down to only using 92% to 93% RAM. It varies as I refresh not every couple seconds but every few minutes for whatever reason.
I have noticed that if you are impatient trying to access the MB as it boots up that it will endlessly reboot. So don't mash F5 during the boot up process and don't mess with the black boot screen. Give it a at least 3 minutes to boot up...or 5 minutes better to be sure.
I added the following one time alarm to let me know when the MB has rebooted and the GUI is up.
Raise: [mbsystem-uptime.0:0] < 300
Clear: [mbsystem-uptime.0:0] > 300
Subject#body: Meteobridge Rebooted # Uptime: {*[mbsystem-uptime.0:0]/60*t}:{*[mbsystem-uptime.0:0]%60%60*t} mins
When I get that email I know my MB rebooted on its own or manually, and that the GUI is ready. The email also gives me the number of minutes and seconds that it took to boot up (usually less than 2.5 minutes).

Re: After update to 4.1 no FTP upload and historical data missing. **solved**
Issue is fixed with just released update. Root cause is that RAM in the MR3020 is really getting tight, especially during startup procedure, when the application stack is downloaded and extracted. When this has passed the download file can be deleted and by that some RAM comes back for operation.
Todays optimization reduced the size of the compressed archive from 4.9 to 4.6MB. The classical MR3020 platform is really getting up to its limits. However, I will give my best to squeeze coming improvements to it without hurting stability. The latest addition of HTTP TLS support was a real RAM killer, but it was needed as web sites more and more just switch over to TLS only.

All is well now, thanks for being so responsive. I might set up an email as Gus suggested but long term I might upgrade platforms. What do you recommend these days as the best platform?
Re: After update to 4.1 no FTP upload and historical data missing. **solved**
MR3020v3 is a reasonable upgrade imho. Unfortunately, flashing is a bit complicated.
Re: After update to 4.1 no FTP upload and historical data missing. **solved**
Popped out today and purchased a new 3020. Got home and realised it was Ver: 3.20 but decided I'd try to flash it via TFTP anyway. Can confirm everything is working well so far, just need to email you through the new Mac address.
Plenty of spare RAM now
