Windy.com API key error in Weather Network tab **solved**

Post by galfert »

I'm seeing a Windy.com error in the Weather Network tab. But the Live data tab shows that it is uploading just fine and I see current data on Windy.com. It makes Weather Network tab slow to open up.

System Message
Error: Windy: invalid API key

Also I see red X next to Windy API key and Station ID (which is 0).

I rebooted and problem still present.

I’m seeing the same error. Must be a problem with Windy.

I see the same problem too. I also observed drops in data uploading to Windy last week. After updating the API key it works fine.

I too noticed some data dropouts last week for a few days. That seemed to be related to Windy's site. This week (since mid Thursday 19th) all data seems to be uploading just fine. Maybe Windy made a change to their API and their "SUCCESS" upload confirmation has changed. I have not looked into this yet, but I suspect that may be the problem.

I tried to copy/paste the API key from Windy and save it to the Meteobridge to see if that would fix the problem and it didn't make a difference. The key is right because if it weren't it would not be uploading. The problem is just with the Weather Network tab that shows an error that is not true and it delays the showing of the Weather Network tab when you select it.

This issue for me is not solved. But I think the problem is with Windy. I'm not hearing back from Windy regarding this.

Is anyone with Meteobridge still having problems with Windy.com? It could be that just my Windy station ID account is messed up.

Yes, I see the Windy dropouts as well but on Meteobridge side everything looks OK.

I can't explain it but I basically deleted my Windy configuration API key from my Meteobridge and then copy/pasted it again and now everything is back to normal.

Since I just started uploading I won't know if the random outages of data upload will persist.
