I have a question about the UTC setup. I am in the time zone "Europe/Berlin" and in summer time I have to set UTC offset=2 to get the clock right. But in wintertime UTC Offset=1.

Can this summer/winter time change be automated?

dear everyone

i fully understand the “stay at home” policies and everyone has time on their hands and trying to keep the mind occupied its the same here .but i don’t appreciate the waking up to 33 emails for endless requests of modifications which most are not about actual station data there all about scraping data from third party sites .this is not what the template was designed for if you wish to have endless radars or other data scraped from other sites then please this template is not for you and i dont mean that horribly .in the past i have got sucked into adding various requests and the templates of the past become not what i set out todo and also the downside is more offsite data requires constant upkeep and increases overall time to adjust things, offsite data is wide open to errors beyond my control or your control due to various reasons beyond us.look around the forums when a third party suddenly changes things unexpectedly or completely disappeared, its that ive tried to avoid.

so I sincerely ask please no more requests for offsite scraping data , iframing third party data etc.. if you want that type of data then please do not use this template there are many others around the forums designed for those purposes .. example this morning of url scrape request , i clicked on the link it came back sorry this is not available in your region , so i switch to vpn and select a USA vpn and it appears .it is not feasible to create complex code to overcome these types of restrictions without educating the end user and things like timezone differences can be a slow process of getting the process done right.

toto something for the future not now but yes it can be done.. but for now treat it like an analogue watch ps Turkey is on permanent timezone we no longer move forward or backwards since 2016 hence it is something i overlook because i dont have to think about it..but i do understand..brian

I understand that, just thought I was doing something wrong. In the EU, the changeover is supposed to stop in 2021...
So you better leave it as it is.

The strike icon is a nice addition! Had a storm last evening and it worked great. I may need to shorten update frequency a little.

forgot to say I added the alert notification to the lightning module only appears if strike(s) within last 10 minutes

Yes, I saw that addition on the Github update. That's when I thought I needed to lower the interval. Just switched to 1 minute.

I took a look at the March data in the folder weather34charts/2020. The file March.csv does not contain all days. But the single files of the march days are available without gaps. How can this be?

possibly your end of day did not run 23:45 this can happen unfortunately and your server/host unreachable at that given time , i had happen once last year . reasons for unreachable can be local ISP,host , a website thats running multiple templates all running simultaneous different processes therefore maxing out resources . there are many reasons but i have no definite answer .you would need to monitor regularly to establish a reason i cant help much at your server level.

True, server problems can of course be a cause.
My provider assures 98% reliability, but that is just not 100%.

after some thought and not simply saying NO to your request without getting sucked into creating a congested design I added an option to display second preferred language
or disable the language option icon display in the footer area. adding all language icons just congests the whole area and really screws up the mobile view .

it is important to apply the new settings in the setup screen and all unused language files and code have been removed . All language icons are based on International ISO code abbreviation so it is important to note the way language file are now handled in this way i.e
for your language German it is no longer DL it is DE .

I hope that is somewhat useful and best I can do to avoid the practice of too much information which basically messes up design UI and it is easy to manage from development point of view. keep it clean , keep it simple and it is easy to use

@chuck ha yes was preparing for this above and reworked the icon layout and very small SVG icons that are fully customizable in terms of color ,all occupy identical space so it doesn't push things all over the place and best of all less than 1kb each fully scaleable ..and most importantly easy to manage and position..

Brian, Thank you very much for the language switching option!

Unfortunately, switching between the two languages does not work for me, it always remains the default language.

just checked demo its working for me switches between de to en and vice versa based on setting de as default language. might want to check you updated all files ?? there was a considerable change to have this option.

Brian,

Wanted to let you know that the Lightning Module is working great. Had a storm last evening and 45 strikes rolled in and the Alert worked fine!
