@chuck did you receive the email from ICDSOFT about PHP-FPM-enabled servers definitely choose this option when it appears in your panel under php settings .see below first time ive seen under 1 second !! always averaged 1s to to 1.8 seconds to go sub 1 second is impressive !

Thanks for the tip - that is amazing performance. I checked and FPM has not been enabled, yet, on my server. I suspect they will roll it out soon.

chuck your lightning file is now called weather34-lightning-chuck.php and has a new option in setup screen. the weather34-lightning.php is for those using a new weatherflow TEMPEST all in one for all their data .Last week or so more weatherflow Tempest users appearing so being that the weatherflow tempest is an all in one solution when used with a meteobridge I have aligned the lightning option and renamed your one off file to weather34-lightning-chuck.php.

so there are two options now for lightning .one with tempest as station and one for those that use an additional meteobridge with older weatherflow type AIR .

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the info - I made the lightning change. I did notice that the "chuck" selection is available for Module 10 and 12, but not 11 in the setup file. I added it is an option for module 11 in mine. No big deal - just thought I would let you know.

Hi Brian,

I've included a screen shot of where the new battery indicator for the indoor screen shows up using Firefox & Chrome under Windows.

All OK using Ipad's Firefox and Safari.

Correction .. Under Chrome in Windows all OK .. it's only Firefox ..

Good morning everyone / Guten Morgen allerseits

This is my first post here. Apologies for writing in English.

I have just set up a new Davis Vantage Pro2 with NanoSD, feeding an instance of the Weather34 template. I am delighted with all three things. While doing this, I encountered a problem with the data upload, which I thought might be worth mentioning here. I hope that this is the right place to post this information. I dare say that this is already a known problem, but I would be interested to know if the way I have resolved it is the best way to do so.

The problem was that the GET request from the NanoSD (using the URL of the form https://<W34 directory>/mb/mb.php?d=<long string>) was not causing the realtime text file to be updated. According to the web server log, the GET request was working (with a return code of 200), but null data was being written to the file. But if I replaced the <long string> in the URL with e.g. "Hello, world", it worked fine (with "success" being returned).

It seems that there is a PHP patch called "Suhosin", which, by default, limits the length of such parameters to 512 bytes. This can be adjusted with a php.ini parameter to e.g. 2048. When I did this, it all started working fine. This may also be needed for the 10 min. and daily chart updates although, if they are less than 512 bytes, it would presumably not be necessary.

Is this a known thing and, if so, is changing the limit using the suhosin.get.max_value_length parameter (which does, I suppose, introduce a slight vulnerability) the best way to resolve the problem?

think you resolved your own problem , being that i believe suhosin is a third party extension ? template is designed and developed with no third party extensions in 7.4 . so i can only assume as bad as that is the third party extension requires a bit of adjustment to allow different applications to run smoothly. is this your own php installation or hosted paid service. ive seen some low cost hosting packages the one that cost you a quid a month or something and they sometimes set very low memory_limit = 128M to preserve shared hosting limitations. anyway not having any experience in suhosin use there is not much i can offer in terms of knowledge.generally 99% of the time template works with most php installations of PHP7+ only time i see non functional installs is due to strict limits set by low cost hosting services and occasional a fresh php install sometimes has various php modules not enabled again often low cost hosting or an oversight during the installation. have a nice weekend..brian
