Hello,
Have found a nice scale of values to determinate the classification of Air quality (Source:Leuven Template):
Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-12 um 21.44.27.png
Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-12 um 21.44.27.png (198.15 KiB) Viewed 3886 times
have modified two sensor-value-displays to display only the two raw-sensor values from the Meteobridge-API:
Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-13 um 18.28.38.png
Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-13 um 18.28.38.png (86.53 KiB) Viewed 3886 times
this will avoid the much different interpretations of the AQI-Indexes and it's only based on the raw sensor-values, much more easier to handle for international using in my opinion..

just as a suggestion...
Regards
Mike

It's a shame that there is not an ISO standard for expressing the Air Quality Index in a uniform fashion worldwide.

For what it's worth, the table below is the EPA (US) standard, and pretty much agrees with the table xray77 posted.

Displaying the actual particle count somewhat solves the problem, but doesn't 'categorize' the health risk.

Hello,
RaBrand: I strongly agree with you, It is really embarrassing that there is no uniform standard worldwide for the air quality index...
The health-risk is classified by the sensor-values PM 2.5 and PM 10 separately too in both tables i think..
So you can see different "health-colors" for the different sensors...

having digested some of the comments on standards it actually gets very complicated so I have simply used the AQI standard which has been used since 2018 in the template . which is basically a 0-300+ as depicted in some of the images above. as for using the pm scientific descriptions that would just confuse anyone who uses the template which provides a view for local community, family etc there are many who do that simply as the template doubles up as an app on mobile devices so best to keep it friendly for everyone.

so Davis Airlink part 1 is done and I will push that update out sometime tomorrow (Thursday) it supports graph data for daily at present I will in due course compile the month data year data scripts for the charts .the chart is the AQI Index based on 10 min intervals , in an ideal specific air quality output an average period would be more suited and that will come when I sit down and adjust the API to output average values like 10 minute averages, 24 hour averages as meteobridge can easily do this .

so here is part 1 screenshot note the new option in setup screen this simply is a yes or no which then shows the icon called DAQI which provides link to Davis air quality pop up screen. once again just keeping it simple and manageable.the word descriptions are not translated these require native speakers to translate the language files contain the English sentences.

screenshot of Davis Airlink as above part one the rest will come in stages .

Brian,

Looks great. :D My AirLink should arrive on Friday and I will give it a try.

One idea - If the bottom tray becomes too filled with icons, the names on the modules (Davis Air Quality) etc could be linked to the respective popup. May be slightly more obscure for a new user? Just a thought.

Best wishes,

Chuck

forgot too add davis airlink users you will see an anomaly in the chart values simply i took an existing unused chart data value which was cloudbase value and replaced it with airlink value hence you might see very high readings for today or upto the point when you run the update . as of midnight it will not show those high values . i simply wanted to use a an unused slot so just bear with the anomaly for one day only upto midnight.. ..

mike thanks it will get better and easier just have to get through some of the confusion and adapt a one value, standard approach for all ,this may not be perfect but sometimes you just have too be thick skinned so you can actually put something into practice and get the ball rolling and then take it from there .so hang in there if its not meeting your requirements things like luftdaten and mb assigned with position 175 will be be same just takes time and the longer i take the more likely it will be useable from the offset..

Hi Brian,

Great. I think having the link in the module may end up being more intuitive. Everything looks nice. :D

One thing I did not think of - it does prohibit getting to Air Quality and Lightning on mobile.

Take care.

Hello Brian,
No problem, because I have my air data sensor in the Meteobridge, I can currently register it as AirLink sensor in the template and then I have exactly what I already like: Both sensor raw values as well as a uniform AQI set, which now matches the data from the Leuven template. And the graphics will probably be perfect from midnight. And i see, the solution for mobile devices is on the way... :-)
So everything is fine, thanks again and have a nice evening,
stay healthy

Ha. Great idea. That will work fine. Actually, the WeatherFlow Lightning (Air) has become so erratic that I have been thinking about giving it up. Sometimes, I have to do multiple reboots of both devices - hub and meteobridge, to get meteobridge to see the strikes. I may try going back to a old version of meteo firmware (4.2) on the one that is running WeatherFlow.

Take care.
