Not updating weather networks

Post by mthiessen »

About once a day, my MB NanoSD doesn't update weather networks. I've included the log below and it doesn't show any errors at all, it just shows the normal startup sequence. I get green checkboxes next to all the weather networks I upload to. But the list of updates shows it's not uploading as it should. The Weather Dashboard is the only thing that updates and the graph shows no break in data.

At first I thought it was a WU problem except a neighbor who uploads to WU with WeatherLink Live shows online on WU. The other networks I upload to aren't showing current uploads either. If I reboot it fixes it for a 18-24 hours, then it happens again.

I've attached a screenshot of the System --> Information screen.

I had the child termination error you can find on this thread. This problem is behaving the same without showing any errors in the log.

Thanks in advance.

What does "Upload Status" on "Live Data" tab tell?

Latest release is expected to have the termination problem solved. If the messages do not show up in the log, you don't have it.

Upload Status shows green check boxes. Hovering over the green check box shows upload times haven't updated. It shows the latest upload time is usually several hours ago if it went offline then. It's the same for all wether networks. The only way I know it goes offline is an email from WeatherCloud that it went offline several hours ago.

The next time this happens I'll do a screen capture of the update times. Although the termination problem is expected to be solved, these symptoms are the same. Although it doesn't show it in the log.

It happened again a few hours ago.
I've attached a screenshot of the Update Status screen. The screenshot shows the last updates around 13:10 and the screenshot was taken at 2020-10-24 15:04. This happens daily. A reboot fixes it. There is nothing in the logs that is different from the normal startup log.

sorry, these screen dumps don't tell me anything.

If you have anythingweather constantly failing and did define retries for it, the buffer will fill up until all this comes to a hold. I made an offer to have a look into your system.
