change sd card raspberry **solved**
hi to all. if I change sd card to my raspberry can I copy all the old data? Does the license change or does the old one remain?
Re: change sd card raspberry
The procedure for backing up and restoring the Nano SD database should also work for the Raspberry Pi

As to your question regarding the license, you’ll have to wait for Boris to respond. There is no mention of a license transfer being necessary in the Nano SD Card transfer instructions but I do remember it being necessary when changing SD cards in the Meteohub RPi, so only Boris can answer your question.

Re: change sd card raspberry
The Meteobridge license is tied to the device's MAC address. You can change SD card or format it and it will not affect the license.
Meteobridge RPI | GW1000
Re: change sd card raspberry
George is right, changing SD card does not impact license. This is different from Meteohub, where it did.

As a side note... If you are using a template to view your station... Remember to change your camera settings to reflect the new camera uploads.
FOR example, I am using meteotemplate. I spent days trying to figure out why my camera FTP uploads were not reflected in the new meteobridge setup moved to a new Rpi 4 from a Rpi3-B+. Meteobridge uses your mac address to verify things as Licensing and so on. In my case, it also changes my camera FTP upload address to: https://admin.meteobridge.com/cam/e5996 ... amplus.jpg. My older Rpi 3b+ used a different upload viewing address. This of course is for Meteotemplate but I am assuming this will be the same for everyone changing devices.
Making an exact copy of your "meteobridge-2021-01.21.conf" <<< example, and using the restore feature will not correct the camera update URL and must be done manually. Don't do like I did and pull your hair out looking for the problem.
