Hi Brian

Just as a matter of interest what temp/humidity sensor did you get that gives 100% humidity

Is it a Davis one - I have never managed to register 100% humidity so I am interested to see what it is

hello graham

it is a standard replacement plug and fit board sensor available at weatherspares uk or pro data uk stores ,just manufactured at a later date than the original i had fitted .apart from the date code printed on the board is the only visible difference cannot determine any other difference other than the original board fitted maxed out at 94% the later dated one has hit 100% numerous times over the last couple of years..

its what i hear frequently, that said conditions when i see 100% occur it is with dense fog ,dead calm wind, with no breaks in fog for 1-2 days i.e total saturation, the type that literally soaks you as walk through it , with visibility almost a matter of less 5-10 meters .we get a lot of early morning fog rolling in of the sea but it normally is dissipated by mid morning that early morning fog rarely generates any reading above 97% ..but your not alone its a common observation..

I am sorry to hear that you are moving on, but I fully understand. New hobbies and adventures beckon and "the call of the sea" :D

It has been a pleasure watching your work over the past years and I appreciate all of your effort and inspiration.

Best wishes and Cheers!

Chuck
Hello Chuck

thank you for the help over the years , Im sure in time someone new will come about with a fresh approach or something similar .

has for the sea Im a beginner so at the moment calm days but I also enjoy maintenance side (getting your hands dirty)..you take care ..
I really like the present design, so as long as php holds up and I can get the year chart file rollover done, I plan to stay with it for the foreseeable future.

Thanks again for all of you patience and hard work over the years.

Hi Brian,

Is the Davis VP2 and Nano SD still available? Mine setup is about 12 years old, so £200 would be an absolute bargain and allow me to upgrade various bits of mine and have some spares to replace bits as they wear out. I seem to remember you have the UV sensor as well?

I would be interested if still available....so all I would need to do is send you the darts (I assume you would tell me which ones) and pay for DSL to ship from Istanbul to Bath, UK?

As with all the others, it has been great working with you over all the years. I have been on the journey with you right from the start when the template used data from Wunderground!

You are a true gent and have always been so kind with your time.

Hello Brian,
I'm a bit sad that you don't want to develop the template any further or that you were always there for users' problems with your very pleasant manner here in the forum....

But I can fully understand your decision and wish you a lot of fun and joy with your new hobbies! What you have created here over the years, you will surely come across again and again on your smartphone or tablet and I hope you will then remember the beautiful moments in your developer life for this project.
In this sense, I wish you all the best for the future and always a hand's breadth of water under the keel of your boat! And of course always lots of points on the dart-board!
My deepest thanks for your work,
Michael

Good morning Paul

switch to email if your interested but yes that simple you send darts and ill advise you of total cost of shipping which is aprox £100 (could be less) the darts total amount is aprox £75 (give or take a fiver as the price changes by small amounts on amazon daily)..delivery time is anything from a week to 3 weeks its all about customs .DHL dispatch from Turkey within two days of collection ill then advise you of tracking number and cost .

VP2 6152UK UV,Solar was originally purchased but those I promised those months ago and sold to my neighbor , i think £200 for complete vp2 with uv,solar vp2 +
nanosd would be a bit nuts dont you think..

thanks for the kind words yes i recall my first mockup using wunderground december 2014 i think sometime in 2015 i released the first version ..those were learning days using jquery as opposed to php see below using highcharts (awful bloated library) and ready made icons which i detested both :D

thank you for the kind words , similar to previous post i knew there was a gap for something in the weather community way back in 2014 to use modern css techniques, modern devices i just saw that opening and stuck to the design principles of usability and distant myself from anything readily available.i think that idea being and sticking to originality is what differentiated the design over the years..but without end users continuous collaboration none of it would have been possible so it may have been just ended up being another messed up overload of information..

take care..brian

Brian, correct me if I'm wrong: for future years there will be some manual changes needed to facilitate only the prior year's charts and to add the links to the prior year in the relevant almanac and zoom'd charts etc. The collection of day/month/year chart data will continue until at least 2029 as the folder structure is there under ./weather34charts. Beyond that people will have to add folders for 2030 onwards or risk losing data.

Did you ever create a sitemap of the design that describes the main linkage between functions/pages/charts to enable all here to navigate these changes in the future? The forum will have to crowd-think any future changes to the design unless someone here wants to take on ownership of any future development. I know that there are better coders in PHP & CSS than myself. I take it that your git-hub is also in the process of being withdrawn? Is anyone owning the content?

I'm hoping that @Boris will continue to support the meteobridge side of the API functionality as he moves that platform forward.

When is your likely last post on the forum if we have questions to ask?

if your still using it in 2029 ill send you a gold watch :D ..I doubt it will function beyond the next significant PHP release ..every significant release always requires some change sometimes substantially sometimes minor..

The API is primed for Davis hardware nothing else really ,API limit is also at its max best left has it is , if you require more then you need to create smaller custom API that run alongside via the service panel .. same as I was running a small custom API for weatherflow lightning that way you wont disrupt anyone else . last change i made to the API broke the version william was maintaining unknown to me until end of last year.thats why I say leave it as it is because you may unknowingly break something elsewhere and have a complete headache on your hands.

Im hoping to take my station down this week weather permitting as it has been sold so i wont have any source to diagnose with or hardware in terms of meteobridge and I wont be doing things blind again trust me its easy to resolve issues when you have a source in front of you or be able to replicate them, otherwise its just a guessing game going back and forth..

Github i closed the repository has basically my mac desktop will become my wife’s home office work computer and thats what i used for doing the template stuff ,like everywhere else pandemic has exploded again and she is adjusting again to working from home for the foreseeable future..

so there you are perhaps not what you want to hear but best for me to wrap this up and move on .has it stands template works as expected should do the for foreseeable future ..see you in 2029.. :D

Hi Brian.
I'm so sorry you made this decision but I can understand you.
I met Weather34 in March and I liked it right away, for me it was a nice pastime.
Best wishes for your new hobbies.

it is with great sadness that amongst us is someone who totally disrespected and is unethical. removing accreditation logos is very very disrespectful amongst any developing community and to any author ,developer, artist and so on who offers there work for free.to take something that someone puts a lot of effort into , engages via a community to collaborate, acknowledging input , putting ideas to practice . offer all this for free yet not the first time mr Jason M Farrow decides to infringe on a simple acknowledgment of an accreditation logo , a logo that was positioned and designed to not distract from the purpose . only a matter of days having tried my upmost best to be sincere in that i wish to pursue other interests and also leave the template in a working state for anyone wishing to continue using it .

it makes me so sad to see this from someone you actually collaborated with, trusted, liaised with because trust is big key factor into accomplishing ideas with a community but sadly no matter who you think is genuine there personal agenda sooner or later reveals itself..

you can jump on me but i draw the line here a simple accreditation acknowledgment was all it was , it leaves a horrible feeling of simply been cheated .. Mr Farrow there is nothing legal i can do and neither do i wish too pursue but I will make it known your actions though may seem so small to you are unethical and disrespectful..its a small world just remember that..paths cross ..Brian
