Hi, I have been trying to get flashing one using SolarWinds TFTP software. When I try to enter TFTP in the CMD prompt it does not like it. 'Tftp' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Hi, when using Tftpd64 we have to change the IP address of the host computer. Can you give me a screen shot of all the required settings as the computer will not accept simply the IP address required.
Re: TP-Link TL-MR3020 Version 3 now supported (with WiFi)
Hello everyone,
I've successfully flashed my new MR3020 (HW version: 3.2) to Meteobridge. However, it is incapable of connecting to my router (TP-Link Archer C1200 V2.0) wirelessly. I tried with static IP and using a USB stick to help it but they led me to no success. It is always stuck at the fast blinking phase plus the Wifi icon doesn't light up.
I attach both the router and the Meteobridge settings to get a clue and might give a hint of what is wrong with it.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Gábor

Please select "WPA2" mode.
Re: TP-Link TL-MR3020 Version 3 now supported (with WiFi)
I try everything. No chance to flash meteobridge firmware to 3020 v3.2. I can flash stock openWRT, bot no Meteobridge.
I uploaded image to router with Tftpd64 successfully, but that*s it. After reboot second LED is flashing very fast, reset button flashing aprox 5x per sec, endlessly.
And thats it. Firmware is not flashed.
Any advice, please?

Looks like the Meteobridge does not get an IP from your router or cannot connect to the Internet from within your LAN.

meteobridge is not connected to the router at this moment, I have install it connected to PC.
So installations of the meteobridge is not possible without internet connection from TP-LINK 3020v3?
How to configure internet connection of meteobridge on TP-LINK if is not installed and configured?
Thank you,
M
Re: TP-Link TL-MR3020 Version 3 now supported (with WiFi)
Hi,
Meteobridge can be base installed (flashed with firmware) without Internet connectivity. As the MR3020 does not have large enough flash to hold the complete Meteobridge application stack, it needs an Internet connection during boot. During that it loads the needed applications from the Meteobridge server and holds that in RAM (which is larger than the 8 or 16 MB flash).
Meteobridge is configured as a DHCP client on the connected LAN. When logging in through that you can setup WLAN etc with Meteobridge GUI. Network changes will apply on next reboot.
BTW: All this is explained in www.meteobridge.com when reading "getting started" and "prepare HW" sections.
Meteobridge is an Internet device, intended to upload data to Internet services. There is no point in running it without Internet access.

Hi,
Thank you for your help, can you point me, please, to the help section where the needs for internet connection and needs for TP-LINK 3020 v3.2 are described?
Sure it's internet device, but during install/flash, when TP_LINK is connected to PC, it's not possible to set internet connection (on easy way).
Thank you.

After flashing with TFTP I disconnect TP-LINK MR3020v3.2 from PC and connect it to the office router and after 15 minutes meteobridge web console in up.
Thank you again!
Thank you again!

After flashing the device is ready / waiting to load the Meteobridge software from the Meteobridge server.pikacom wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 3:06 pm Hi,

To start working it needs an internet connection and it will get its ip-address via a DHCP server/modem on your WiFi/LAN.
After the MB software is loaded you can adept the network settings.
And yes you always need an internet connection as f.i. high-lows for your device are also saved on the Meteobridge server.
