Sftp event issue. **solved**

Post by wx-dave »

Hi all,

I have a Meteobridge Pro running version 5.3. Within the last week I noticed that my data on my site was stale for the sftp upload. I am able to do the test SFTP service successfully every time with no issue. The event triggers once without issue after every reboot. However I can see on my firewall logs that the initial upload goes through then the event doesn’t try again after that. I tried deleting and recreating the event and that did not work. I also tried going back in firmware as far as version 5.1. I also verified that my ISS values are being received regularly. Not sure what else to look at next, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What does the event log on tab "live data - upload status" tell? Can you see the events being triggered as expected?

If not, please check in "System - Log Files" tab that the logger process is running uninterrupted and is not restarting again and again. If it is in a restart loop, please solve the issue with your station definition.

Thank you for the quick response!

I can see that my upload to Weather Underground looks good and current, my HTTP errors out on occasion, but does seem to be updating the site, also my triggered display upload looks good. The SFTP one shows a green check mark, but only has the timestamp from when I first rebooted the Meteobridge Pro.

When I first looked into this it did appear that I had a reception issue with the station, but I definitely fixed that and the triggered display is now set for the RF analysis and shows that it's receiving transmissions from the ISS at 62db regularly. I did also try the approach with setting my console to retransimit as the instructions note and that worked for a bit and then stopped (need to investigate that further). However when I put it back to Station ID #1 which is what the ISS transmits on and that's working again.

Below are the logs. They show about the time that I performed the reboot, but I don't see any updates since then (see below). Thank you for your input on this, greatly appreciated!

Log looks ok. When you give me a remote login, I can have a closer look why the SFTP upload events are not triggered as expected.
Regarding remote login, please read here: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=9885
I need the specific URL and password. Please send to info(at)meteobridge.com, if you like.

Thanks for providing remote login. I have inspected with these findings:
1) SFTP works ok
2) HTTP upload to your server are too slow for a 5 sec interval, I updated to 10 sec interval
From my point of view things are now fine. Please avoid to fire multiple events on a 5 sec base.
