Meteobridge 5.4 (may 7, 2022 build 2780) FW 1.3...or 1.4?

Post by Bart »

I just noticed that the MB rpi I installed last year after the May update shows the following info:
Meteobridge 5.4 (may 7, 2022 build 2780) FW 1.3. The other RPI I installed 4 weeks ago reports FW 1.4.
Both work properly….
What's the reason for that?

I've read that, but then I don't understand why the numbering doesn't match. And both BM RPI work properly (as far as I can tell so far).

I assume one of your Pi's is revision 1.3, and the other is revision 1.4...

what's silk screened on the boards?

Thank you for thinking along Staze.

A lot has been printed on both boards. Both are in a case. I wouldn't want to take it apart if I don't know what to look for.
I bought them both at the same time last year, 40 pins.

Could it have something to do with when the Meteobridge software was flashed? That was last year and 5 weeks ago, respectively.
I have no idea if it's important to update something on last year's installed.

just enter

Code: Select all

cat /proc/cpuinfo
in a command window in your RPi(s)
the last line will show the revision number

But FW1.3 is a Meteobridge thing, not a CPU/board revision thing.
I have revision 1.4 but for the RPi image it says FW1.3.
On my MB Pro it says FW1.4

Okay. I did check via ssh. Both MB RPIs are the same in terms of board. both 1.4. but so have a, as mentioned, with regard to the image 1.3 and 1.4 respectively. Basically equal terms for different quantities.

Thanks for the help Making me understand.
