Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
Bought a brand new pi 4b with 1Gb of ram
I installed the FW 1.4 on a 2Gb micro SD card, one that has been recommended with Raspberry Pi imager
Installation of meteobridge went fine, on cabled LAN
Change settings to wifi, but it will not connect to my wireless network
It is certainly not a range problem as it is located just a few feet away from the router
So I tried the 1.3 version as suggested, but that does not work at all
I only see the green LED flash 4 times slow the 4 times fast, but nothing happens, and the green LED repeats the sequence the red LED does not blink and will not go into fast blinking showing it is trying to connect and download the stack
Tried different wifi settings but no luck
On an older model the 1.3 version does work, but I have that one running CumulusMX and the 1.4 did not work on that one
I could run on cabled LAN but prefer wireless
Any suggestions?

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
is your RPi a 1.4 revision model or a 1.5 revision model ?
check with the dmesg command - or with.
It should show something like this (see last line)
If 1.5, try the 1.5 image - see sticky threads
check with the dmesg command - or with
Code: Select all
cat /proc/cpuinfo
It should show something like this (see last line)

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
Well first thing that came to mind was that I still had an older version of 1.4 version of meteobridge, downloaded a new one with the 1.5 compatibility, but still it will not connect to my wifi
I have it set the same as my Nano SD network configuration though the Rpi is also capable of 5 gHz wifi
Tried every setting even tried to connect it to my guest network, but it will not connect
So here are my Pi 4b rev 1.5 specs

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
two things - for the WLAN connection it is not important that the hardware in principle supports a 5 GHz wireless network - the installed OS (openWRT) needs to support it
you could try a 2.4 GHz connection
your dmsg output shows only the eth0 (= LAN) interface to be connected/activated by the OS - no WLAN interface (wlan0 should be found)
maybe having a look at
https://openwrt.org/toh/raspberry_pi_fo ... spberry_pi
could give some more insights

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
Meteobridge on RPI does not support MESH networks or any boost options. It needs to be good old plain 2.4 (ng) or 5 GHz (a) and WPA2.

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
I appear to be having this exact same issue and the suggestions within this thread thus far have not proved helpful.
I too tried the v1.3 firmware and the RPi clearly says this is not compatible.
There needs to be a v1.5 to support these, apparently, slightly newer boards, that or some work around that can be provided to users who've paid for a license.
If this cannot be made to work with an RPi4, then how does one go about obtaining a refund?

Re: Cannot connect my Rpi to wifi
I happened to have an older RPi 4 on hand, it's a v1.2 board. The problem with the v1.4 firmware is the same and the v1.3 won't boot at all.
