Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP

Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
I am getting the Unknown Host error message when I try to transfer files from a Meteobridge Nano SD to my host provider.
I have been chatting with my provider for the last 45 min and they are unable to resolve the issue.
The only thing they could recommend was for me to use Filezilla instead, which they assure me works well. But I'm guessing this is not an option here (but correct me if there is a solution).
Is there a workaround here?
Thanks

Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Where from and how are you sending FTP? Does the FTP/SFTP Service Settings test ok, or is this the test result?
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Does it work from your PC with filezilla or alike?
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
From the Meteobridge NANO console, I go to /Services/Service Settings sub menu. I fill in the required fields in the FTP/SFTP section. Then click the Test FTP button. After a few seconds, the error message appears.
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Filezilla works fine outside of Meteobridge. No connection issues. It's only when I try to transfer files within Meteobridge that the error occurs.
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Are you sure that the server offers plain FTP?
Filezilla adapts automatically to FTPS or alike. The logs should tell you.

Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
It is plain FTP. The two apps that the server recommends using are either SmartFTP or Filezilla. I normally use Filezilla.
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Connection within Filezilla works fine. It is only with FTP within Meteobridge thatr the issue arises

Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
The log shows TLS is used for your Filzilla communication.
That is not plain FTP but secured FTP either SFTP or FTPS a.s.o.
Modern FTP clients switch automatically to a more secure protocol, if available or requested by the FTP server.
Check GOOGLE, f.i. https://www.ibm.com/docs/es/zos/2.1.0?t ... nabled-ftp
Succes,
Wim
Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Please connect via SFTP or Proxy-SFTP options of Meteobridge to adapt to the enforced encryption by your server.

Re: Unknown Host Issue with standard FTP
Looks like you are poking around. If you send credentials to info(at)meteobridge.com I can help to find out. Please set password to a temporary one, so that I just have short term access.
Or please post the complete screen. Having ftp in the URL/hostname might not help when trying to connect via SFTP.
